Home shopping!!!!

singlemum23 by singlemum23 Talking Back(October 2006) (rank 92nd)

What a great way to shop - here are my reasons why I now grocery  shop from home.

*home delivery - sure they deliver it but they dont do your groceries - your food turns up warm, they deliver it whenever they fit you in - It costs $5

less than internet shopping - i would much rather pay that $5 cos shopping sux! LOL

* I dont drive  * I am a singlemum * I can now shop in my pjs with a cuppa and my kids are asleep  * I  still get great savings  *It is not stressful * I can still buy in bulk and save

* someone else is running the mad dash through the isles to get everything i want - not me * Im savouring my energy for other chores *I dont have bad customer service

*I dont have to wait in line to be served * I dont have to bend back and forth from my trolley to the conveyer belt to put my items through check out * my items come better packed then

what they do when they get packed by a 14 yr old at the supermarket * i dont have to load to car/taxi - and unload when i get home * My items are always fresh ( - have never had a worse lettuce than the ones i pick myself at the supermarket!) * you can still buy alcohol and ciggarettes ( i dont- but just for your info)

*You can either make a secure creditcard payment online - or they bring eftpos to your house when they deliver your groceries. You pick from about 5 different delivery times so you can be home and they give you a 3 /4 hour window which is great!!! None of this waiting around all day!

So I do mine on a wed night and get it thursday night. That way we can still have a day out and our shopping will arrive after i put the kids to bed - so i can put that away peacefully!!!

You can always at any time see what you have put in your trolley - and it adds the total up as you go! So you know how much you have spent! Each item is in the smiliar isles as they are usually set out in your store.

( MAN I MUST SOUND LAZY!) LOL

* i get freebies - they pop in a box of cereal, recipe cards, softdrink etc everynow and again for little bonuses * the first time I experimented with internet grocery shopping - they gave me free delivery I use >>>  (www.woolworths.com.au)

So that pretty much sums it up - oh wait one more important reason I shop online - I DONT GET ANYTHING I DONT NEED .. In the shop it is so easy to throw treats in the trolley without thinking it through. I am saving money by shopping online cos im not throwing in those deliciously expensive lindt milk chocolates-  i crave oh so badly - daily! LOL

Home shopping...
I think this is great, only hassle for me is, the closest supermarkets don't have internet shopping and the only one that does is a tiny one.... So I still have to go out anyway.. Bummer.... But I do like it for the small stuff....

one other reason to buy online

Another good reason to buy groceries online is when the snow is piled to high outside that we have to dig up the car! I've only bought groceries online once and it was pretty cool. I will definitely be revisiting this idea when it becomes too much of a hassle to go out.

Though I did learn something from that first online grocery shopping though. I ordered 1 banana and 1 arrived. Ooops! I thought 1 would give mean a bundle, not just one piece.
