cheapest and easiest way to remove lice |

My son and his friends were forever coming home with head lice. When I say forever, I mean it was happening every other week! My son's head was shaved very short but he would still get them. It was disgusting! After spending a fortune on different chemicals to
kill and evict these nasty little critters I looked for a more natural, home made approach. What I found was this....
- I used everyday, el-cheapo conditioner! Wet the hair or do it straight after nightly shower. Because it is smooth when you comb them they come out easily. I would do this every night until the comb came out Lice free. (An added bonus to the conditioner is that my son no longer had that boy smelling hair, you know, the wet dog smell, his hair smelled fruity instead)
- To prevent them coming back I added a good squirt of conditioner to water in a spray bottle and I would spray his head before bed at night or just before school in the morning. The hair became coated and the lice couldn't attach themselves to it. So they would bounce to the next head. I would do this every time the "NIT NOTE" came home from school warning that a few parents had reported their children for being infested. I rarely have a Lice problem anymore.
- This might also be an easier solution for mothers with little girls with long thick hair. Some of the chemicals make it hard to pull the comb through and you end up with a screaming child, the conditioner makes it very easy, you dont have to worry about tangles.
- Last quick tip for the "nit impaired". If your children wont let you de-nit them like my next door neighbours kids, they would scream and fight her every time, try sending them to a relatives/friends house and ask them to do it. My next door neighbours kids would sit perfectly for me but they wouldnt do it for their mother. It's always the way isn't it. A family that de-nits together, stays together
