Lipstick on the wall - no problem!

sars by sars Talking(October 2006) (rank 124th)
Recently my darling boy drew all over his grandmas living room wall which is a nice cream colour in deep maroon lippy! Great artwork not the best location! A friend told me to use glycerine on a cottonball then rince off with some diluted sugar soap. Very painstaking process but worked
really well you can barely see the marks - took me 3hrs mind you, but beats repainting. You can buy glycerine at the supermarket, I think you cook with it but I have to say I've never used it before this and I don't know what its for other than lippy removal! Hope this is a useful hint.

I have to say I swear by those Mr Clean Magic Erasers.  I have had many an incident with crayons and markers on the walls and this just cleans it right away.  Love it!!  But always great to have more options for backups!!

They are also fantastic for the grout on the kitchen floors between the tiles... Takes a bit of elbow work but works fantastic... Love those things.....

My mum swore by macleans toothpaste.

My mother used to swear by macleans toothpaste for getting crayons etc off the wall. She never let us clean our teeth with it because she wondered what it did to tooth enamel. She always bought a different brand of toothpaste for the bathroom.

It has been  well over 30 years since I wrote on walls so they have probably changed the formula since then.
