Lipstick on the wall - no problem!

Recently my darling boy drew all over his grandmas living room wall which is a nice cream colour in deep maroon lippy! Great artwork not the best location! A friend told me to use glycerine on a cottonball then rince off with some diluted sugar soap. Very painstaking process but worked really well you can barely see the marks - took me 3hrs mind you, but beats repainting. You can buy glycerine at the supermarket, I think you cook with it but I have to say I've never used it before this and I don't know what its for other than lippy removal! Hope this is a useful hint.
