See the world through your child's eyes

Neeters by Neeters Talking(October 2006) (rank 334th)

Something I have found lately is that the more I look at things the way my daughter does then the happier I am as a person.  Leading a busy life, I sometimes forget how important it is to appreciate everything that life has to offer, and often forget to treat

each and everyday as an opportunity to grow and to learn.  That is, until I look at the world though the eyes of my child.  My daughter asks all sorts of questions (as all children do!)  and sometimes, I feel frustrated with all the Why is this like this? or the How come this happened? or What's that?  then I try to think about how she is trying to sort everything out, and how every single experience is something new and amazing to her.

So I try to look at the world though her eyes and see what she is seeing.  When I do this I find that I am better able to empathize with my child, I am better able to understand constant wonder and I am more patient with the way that I answer her questions.  I also notice that I am so much more aware of the beauty of the world around us.  As adults we see a lot of ugliness, but a child almost always sees the good and the beautiful.  We can all take a lesson from our children and take the time to appreciate the world around us, instead of having it pass us by.

Have a great day.

Great advice!!

Too be young again, and soo curious.  Everything so new to them.

We went outside today as there is snow on the ground and everything is covered. My son Braden was so amazed!!! I let him touch the snow with his hands and he was so shocked.  As he was squeezing  the snow than it was gone!! He was a little upset that it was gone and he had water dripping from his hand. Than walking on the snow made noise. His eyes were so big, you could see him taking everything in.  I wonder what he was thinking!!
