This is just about how TV programmes may assist us when we trying to find ways to help our children. I am not saying it is a must, but it can help. I frequently watch her programmes with her cuz I get loads of ideas for how to tackel
things with her. And if someone is naughty and stuff we can discuss. Books from the library are also a great tool in this department. Bu my example here is a programme.
Peppa Pig: (TV programme on Nick Jnr)
The other morning we had Peppa Pig going as we were getting ready to go out. The episode in question was about a visit to Grandma and Grandpa Pigs house. They were there for lunch and before lunch the children (Peppa Pig and her brother George) went to the vegetable garden to help Grandpa Pig collect some veges for the salad. George likes his dinosaur, but not the veges! Oh no!! Not Tomatoes, Not lettuce, Not cucumber.
At lunchtime he ate all his pizza like a good boy, but left his salad. After much persuasion hadnt worked Daddy pig made his salad into a dinosaur shape. George ate all of it up very nicely and quickly. He loved every morsel.
Although I endorse not playing with food it is good to present food in a manner that our children will relate to and enjoy it. especialy those foods that maybe they are less keen on. Frequently the vegetables.
So think about beauty being in the eye of the beholder and see if we can create food for our young 'uns that they like the look of.
I hope that this helps some people out there who are trying to find ways to encourage their babies as they start on solids and try new colours, textures and flavours.
Peace
