How do you get rid of it? tried many things to no avail. would like any advice.
My kids are always coming home with headlice. The key is, whatever you use make sure that you reapply a week later. There are many natural remedies which work. I have found that putting conditioner is their hair and combing regularly is the best thing. If you comb hair with headlice come every single day, not only will there be no headlice but you will get rid of knots too.
Obviously you need to do all the things like changing sheets and all of that stuff although aparently headlice cannot live outside the hair for longer than about 9 hours.
Spraying a diluted lavender/tea tree spray in their hair also has some affect in repelling them too but I really didn't have much success with that - it smells too!
I have now done some web browsing and added some external links below. They may help some more.
