Toilet training

Anonymous Author (November 2006)

I found toilet training to be easier than i thought. I got this advice from my sister in law as she has gone through toilet training 3 times with her children. Here are some tips.

  1. Always have something like a small block so they can get up on
    the big toilet themselves
  2. have a toddler seat toilet the one that fits perfectly over the toilet seat itself, so they don't fear of falling in
  3. Allow them to take a toy in the toilet with them as it distracts them a little
  4. Be very patient, as they're not always going to go to the toilet the very first time you put them on there
  5. When they do something on the toilet, big praises are in order.

I hope this helps you for the one's who are having a little difficulty in toilet training

potty training
I had "special" big girl books that we were in a bin next to the potty to entice my daughter to sit on the potty. Once i got more than one success, i had a potty chart to reward her successes.
