So much heartache

I am writing this with no particular education on the subject, but from the heart.  I have seen so many heartbreaking stories and blogs on this site and I just wanted to write an advice column for some encouragement really. 

Life is hard sometimes and we are often dealt with a bad hand (so to speak) and I can hear the hurt in some of your stories about your life.  Mothers who have had to leave their partners because of violence, grandparents bringing up their childrens kids because of death or other reasons, dads who are separated from their kids and are really hurting because of it and so many many more.

I just wanted to say that  you are all doing awesome jobs in raising your kids.  No matter how hard it gets or no matter how bad you feel that you are doing as a parent, your kids love you.  If ever you feel that it's all a bit hard, please come online and chat or ring a friend or someone because sometimes you just need to vent and get it all off your chest.  I have found most people on this website are more than willing to help and give advice. 

A couple of things to remember:-

You are blessed because you have your kids, even though sometimes they do make it tough, they are worth it!

You are blessed just because you have blood running through your bodies and you are breathing!!  You are alive and that's all that counts!

You are blessed because you are you.  You are worth it!

You are blessed because you have people who care about you, even if you don't know them - they do care!

Dory on finding Nemo says "Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming" so I'm saying Just keep going, going going.  You will eventually get there!
