How I finally got my son to eat vegetables.... |

I found a way that my son gobbles down all of his vegetables and asks for more.…
This may not work for everyone and not everyone would agree on my use of butter, but it appears to have worked for me….
And depending on the
age of your child would depend on the cut of the vegetable.
It is my belief that from boiling all the vegetables together mixes up the taste of one vegetable from another so he really can’t really tell the difference between them. A bit like soup I think..
If you cut them into chunks as I did and mix in your colors it may also look more appealing… By doing this, my son has had in the past week four big vegetable dinners and even asked for seconds.
One vegetable combination I have used, Potatoes, celery, carrot, broccoli, cauliflower. (If you want you can also throw peas and or corn at the last minute to mix up the taste a bit as well). I find if I use cream corn I do not need to add any butter…. I cut the vegetables into big chunks and boil until the potatoes are soft enough for a blunt knife to go though. You can mix the colors of the vegetables and even add some tomatoes ( I would not suggest this with the peas or corn)…
It does sound a bit like I am making soup, so you could always save the water as a soup stock if you wish…..
In the end the result has been that my son has started eating vegetables again!
