Internet opportunity and work from home

klaushelpenstein by klaushelpenstein Speaking(November 2006) (rank 500+)

I mean they all seem like scams. Ive enquired into a few of them and all they seem to be interested in is you forking out a whopping great big amount of money, and then youre left on your own to fend for yourself! Im not big on avon or

nutrimetics due to the fact that i couldnt sell water in the desert, sales just arent my thing, but does anyone know of any companies or something that would be looking for ppl to do office work at home or something? even envelope stuffing or making things from home would suit me. i really want to give up working in an office and come home and work around my family. thanks.

Are they actually real

Yes it is true there are more scams than there are real opportunities out there, as well the real opportunities that there are, are hard to figure out and then one must know how to work and advertise to get a return.

I have been working on the internet building web sites, as well as using these opportunities for around 6 years in total now and it took me some two years to figure out what was real and what was fantasy, although there are a lot  of people out there making an income on the net, most of them do not want to tell others how to go about making a real income from the net.

Opportunities like Avon and Nutrimetics are certainly some of the real programs out there, however they require you to interact face to face with people and yes that is not everyone's cup of tea,

There are also other programs such as paid to read emails that work, however again most of them are scams as they have a payout that is fairly high before you can get paid, meaning that you have to read a lot of emails before you get paid and quiet often you don't get enough emails to ever reach the payout.

Another is paid surveys, again they accumulate before they pay out and again unless you know which surveys to choose, you could be wasting your time altogether as you will never get to do enough surveys to reach that payout, the sites that purport to give you lists of easy surveys and charge you a fee to show you are generally just out to make money for themselves.

Envelope stuffing from the little i know about is slave labour, you may be doing from home but make a real income no not likely.

However that said there are other ways of making an income on the internet, none of them are get rich fast schemes, so many  of which are advertised out there, all require some dedication and how you go about making that income depends on how much you want to make, it will cost you some money to get going, and it will take time 6-12 months depending on how much time you can devote to it before you make enough income to leave your fulltime job, but yes you could then be sitting on easy street, working from in your own time.

A lot of how you make an income on the net also depends on your own strenghts and weaknesses, every person is different, and the approach depends on each person I would always taylor solutions to a persons need, and they generally mean a combination of different aproaches.

Obviously this is not a forum where I can discuss in detail how you can make that income as that would mean I would be advertising and that is not what this forum is about, all i can say is beware before you spend any money 90-95% of whats offering out there will never make you an income, there are ways to do it but I strongly suggest that you find someone that has been on the net and involved in making an income on the net for a good 2-3 years and get them to help you.

Just remember if it sounds too good to be true it probably is not true.

Re: Internet opportunity and work from home

This comment reflects my recent experience at seeking work at home.  I paid $2.95 to start a free trial registration for surveys and then read an article  on the web about how someone was ripped off.  Of course they won't be getting the rest of their money.  The info about home business is very correct.  Some are real, but alot of hard work to kick off, all require money up front, if not for the registration it's for the program.

A good article.

working from home
I run my own sales representative business from my home and it is doing very well seeing it only started 6 months ago... aside from this, I also sell items online and am a "mystery shopper".

I love the mystery shopping (or sharing retail experiences - as some call it) (most of the time) it is fun and I get paid to have a whinge (or to praise) about a store or it's staff!

There are a couple of mystery shopping websites I could recommend. (Am I allowed to do that here?)  It costs nothing to apply, or to start working for them... occasionally you may have to make purchases, but usually you get reimbursed plus payment too. You are not likely to make a living from it, but it is nice pocket money and a bit of fun. usually they are in store shopping assignments but there are also phone assignments too. Some assignments incorporate both phone and in store interaction.

It is good advice but.

Klaus has written some good advice about earning an income online but it unfortunately does not qualify as parenting advice.
Would do well in his blog.
