Fussy eaters

Rachall by Rachall Talking(November 2006) (rank 98th)

I have found with my son Josh that when he is going through a phase of being a fussy eater (which is teething time and whenever else he chooses) just to go with the flow. I will still give him what we are having for tea and try to get

him to eat a bit of it and then give him what he wants afterwards (provided it is something suitable for tea, not ice cream or lollies etc ). This then makes meal times less stressful and I have found he doesn't stay fussy for much longer than a day or two.

I have also found that when he is teething he will not eat as much, but wants lots of milk. So I get him to try and eat at meals and then he gets his bottle when he has finished eating. This then makes the bottle a reward for him eating his meal. As long as we stick to only on these occassions we should not have any trouble with him getting confused.

This has worked well for us and hopefully will owrk for you also. Good luck.

Various eating
My son isnt a fussy eater as such, he either eats a lot or he doesnt (when he is teetheing or tired). I find to that by goiing throug the normal routine (offering him dinner at dinner time etc) he seems to get over it rather quickly.
