Hello there ... I think there's been some good advice here ..... lists are all well and good ... but all children are different. However ... in my opinion I think the milestones quoted on this list are very much at the 'top end'. I wouldn't be concerned if you weren't worried before you read the checklist! If you feel that she's not developing her language and social skills over the next 6 months or so ... then seek a referral to a speech therapist .
Best Wishes
Lisa

Where did you get this list?
I think it's good, but it might be nice to add a little disclaimer that not every child follows the "rules".  For example, my daughter is way ahead in some developmental areas, bang on in others, and still behind in some more.

All kids are different, and guide lines are just that, guide lines..   SO I would not worry just yet... I think Francis talks up a storm because his mother talks up a storm.. Not to mention the fact I repeat myself over and over and over again... :) When Francis was first born though I had so much trouble talking to him that my mother and hubby were on my back about it.. It felt weird at first then as I kept doing it, well lets just say now with Francis I can't get an word in edge wise, I don't always understand what he is saying.. LOL

I agree with jess, I only thought I would put it there as a guid line.  Austin just started doing some of teh stuff that a 18month old should.  It all depends on the baby.  Remeber just a guide line.
