best disposable nappies

Anonymous Author (November 2006)

Hi! this is my first little piece of advice... hope you like it.....

My son of 16 months has been through so many brands of nappies. I found that the big brands were not doing the job that you pay for, and they get so expensive! I had nappies

fall apart, leak, stick crystals to his little bum, rub and cause alot of rashes.

I have been using a new brand called 'mamia' for the past 4 months and this disposable nappy has been the best so far.

If anyone is interested in trying this brand out, they are only sold in ALDI stores, the prices are around $16 AUD and you get around 50 nappies per pack (ammount varies depending on size) and now they have a big teddy bear print on the front and back, which is cool coz baby can wear it on its own during summer and still look good! :) They also have produced a line of training pants too, i know there are not many brands of them out right now, but it might be worth giving them a try for the price they sell for....

i also found that my Aunty has been using the newborn size and she is happy with them.

i would love to hear your views on this brand if you have tried it and are using them now, and feel free to comment and ask questions.

THANKS FOR READING AND HOPE ALL GOES WELL WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES.  :)

Re: best disposable nappies

Best Brand out is Aldi Mammia, I agree. After using Huggies for my first child, until it was potty training time, how expensive where the pull up nappies! So off I went to Aldi after talking to a lady at a garage sale. 8 months pregnant and ready to save some money. Not only do you get more for your money, if your child has the runs, Mammia do not leak on the worst of days. Huggies did however.
So Yes I have not looked back - go Aldi.

Re: best disposable nappies

I find that BabyLove and Huggies are the best nappies suited for my baby boy,I try to add a little cornflour either on bub or in the nappy itself and he's never had much nappy rash in 11mths.

nappies
Hi,
Thanks for that
We usually buy a big box of woolworths homebrand...they are pretty cool to but they are only selling our daughters size in the big ones that dont fit her now int he bulk size...probably to make us pay more money.   Coles savings brand we have found are pretty good too and they had piccys that fade for me to know when shes wet hahaha
But will definately check out the aldi ones.
We use a combination of disposable and cloth depending on what we are doing and how cheap we get disposables that she can wear.
Luv Deb

ALDI disposable nappies
hi guys. I have also been using these nappies for the past six months on my 22mth old. they really are a lot better in fit, style and absorbancy. I would highly reccomend these nappies to anyone who is able to access an ALDI store. also, they have TRAINING pants, which are just brilliant and half the price of huggies. so give it a go. they are around $16aud for both nappies and pull-ups/training pants.

I agree
My mother;s group all agree that these are the best around for the price.  I also like BabyLove - at the moment they seem to be the only ones that fit properly?  I am also about to try the EcoBots to assuage my guilt over using disposables.....

...well almost.  I use the Bambino, I think they are only sold through the Netto chain.  But I have found that they too are absorbant and keep the bottom dry better than the leading brands that I had been using previously.

I only used to use disposable nappies when we were out.  The rest of the time I used cloth.  So it took me a long time to come across how inabsorbant they were.  But a friend advised the ALDI brand and not having an ALDI nearby i tried NETTO.

Most satisfied!
Peace
