Growing babies need food and sleep

pfallerj by pfallerj Proud Parent(May 2006) (rank 96th)

Today's Tip - If your baby starts to eat more and sleep more, let him, it's probably a growth spurt

Every baby goes through periodic growth spurts from birth until adulthood, but early on they seem to be more frequent and are marked by increased apetite for food and sleep.

Instead of fighting it, just roll with it. Your baby needs the extra nutrition and rest to gain weight and height.

Growing babies need more sleep and food

How old is your child/children? my boy is 13wks on Tuesday and is teething (well i'm sure he is! drbbling a lot, going to bite and suck things, hands in the mouth, more grizzly, white spots on gums, loss of appitite, ) What i wanted to ask was do you know if they sleep more when teething? or could it just be that it's hot at the moment or because i'm giving him herbal teething granules which contains camomile. He started wanting more feed so i increased his food by an ounce but now he's teething he doesn't seem that interested in his milk. just wondering if you had any advice as i agree with you that babies will let us know what they need ie, sleep and food

My son is three months old, but he hasn't started teething yet. I don't really know if babies sleep more while teething...if you find anything out let me know when you get there!
