Cherrios arn't just for breakfast.

FireFighterDaddy by FireFighterDaddy Talking Back(December 2006) (rank 55th)

Hi

I am trying to potty train my three year old son and I have tried the reward system which doesn't seem to be working he just says he is never going to the toilet  and that he doesn't have to because I can clean his nappy I

have tried explaining to him that big boys go to the toilet and show him that his dad and older brother does as well but he just refuses does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Keep a small bowl of Cherrios near by, when he has to go potty throw a hand full in the bowl and tell him to try and hit them. It works and it turns it into a game for him. Its still fun for us grown ups too...lol.

We've got our 2 year old going on the potty 10% of the time.  He sits down when he does go, so I think the cheerio deal might help get him interested in going potty again!
