MEMORY

WHAT YOU NEED: Famailar items for around your house.

Let your child look at the items for a minute. Then you can either cover the items or get them to turn around. Remove either one or a couple of the items. Let your child

tell you what is missing.

BALLOON FUN

WHAT YOU NEED: BALLOONS

Children of all ages loves hitting balloons around the room.  You can also tie a balloon out of your child's reach and encourage them to jump to hit it.  ou can play catch with your children, the balloon moves slower so it is easier for your younger children to catch.

DRESS UPS

WHAT YOU NEED: BOX, OLD CLOTHES, HATS, NECKLACES, SHOES, BELTS, HANDBABS, SCARVES, SHAWLS ECT

Allow your child to use their imagination and role model children of all ages live to do this.

 INDOOR ODSTACLE COURSE

WHAT YOU NEED: FURNITURE, TOWELS, PILLOWS, OTHER HOUSHOLD ITEMS.

  • Crawling through the legs of the dining room chairs
  • crawling under the coffe table
  • Make a tunnel out of chairs, cushions and a rug
  • Play leap frog, stepping from towel to towel(only on carpet so they don't slip)
  • Roll up some towels to make a long balance beam.

SECRET MESSAGES

WHAT YOU NEED: PAPER, WATER COLOUR PAINT CANDLES

Write on the peice of paper with the candle.  Paint over it with the water colour paints, watch as the message appears.

READ STORIES

WHAT YOU NEED: BOOKS, CUSHIONS, QUITE SPACE

Take the time to sit and read with your children then if you like you can get then to draw a picture of their favourite part of the story.

BEADING

WHAT YOU NEED: STRING, LARGE BEADS

Put the beads in a large bowl, tie a knot in one end of the string and let your chilren make all sorts of things.

BLOB PAINTINGS

WHAT YOU NEED: PAINTS, PAPER, BRUSHES

Help your children to fold the paper in half, then unfold it.  Get your  child to blob small amounts of paints on one side of the paper. refold the paper lightly pressing the paper together. reopen the paper and see the great creation.

LACING CARDS

WHAT YOU NEED: THICK CARDBOARD, STRING, HOLE PUNCH

Cut out a shape with youre cardboard. Punch the poles around the edges at about 2 to 3 cm apart.  Tie a knote in the string and your children are ready to lace around the shape.

BUBBLES

WHAT YOU NEED: BLUBBLE MIXTURE BUBBLE BLOWER.

If oyur children are young you can blow the bubbles and encourage them to catch them, if they are older they will loive to blow them all around.

Just remember to have fun and your children are learning through play.

drawing
a simple fun game, draw a picture, say of a body from the waist down...fold the paper in half and get your child to draw to top half. It gives kids hours of fun....encourages to use their imagination and laugh at what they get....
