Stretch marks be gone!

Joeyjo by Joeyjo Minti Founder(May 2006) (rank 107th)

I read about this "miracle oil" called BIO-OIL in a magazine.  This is supposed to be the product that treats most undesirable skin conditions - from stretchmarks, to scars to wrinkles.

I have a couple of scars and I think that they appear more faint since I have used the bio-oil.

I had a look at the website and I see that the product is a stretch-mark preventation and seems to be safe to use even during pregnancy.  The bio-oil also treats "old stretchmarks".

See:

www.bio-oil.info

I am lucky to get away without stretchmarks during pregnancy, but I know that they are not the desired "by-product" of pregnancy for some women.

Read the testimonials on the web-site and seek more advice from the manufacturer or your pharmacist. Good luck!

I Used Soft-E-Lotion

After I found out I was pregnant with my first son, I emailed the Soft-E-Care company to ask some questions about the all natural vitmain E and oils/butter Soft-E-Lotion and the customer service rep gave me a coupon code for 15% off my order to help out as I am on a budget. He said the code would never expire. Thought I would share it here as I got mine after reading the posts here and like the way it feels.

The 15% off code was: softe

strech marks
i learned that palmer's cocoa butter is excellent for preventing most strech marks, but that nothing is 100%.

re:strech marks

i was going to buy bio-oil this week and decided to way up wether ill help my tummy or my face and i ended up buying a pore cream. but i knew a lady whose son had his face scratched up by a akitten and she says you would never know he had. My sister in law used to rub her stomache with conditioner when she was in the shower and found that really helped.but im proud of my lovely purple-silver lines and what would i have to show off to all those young friends of mine that ask to look at them...lol

Got em don't like em

I am willing to try anything!!! Unfortunately, I was one of the not so lucky ones and I got more with each child.  I am still holding out hope that the strech mark fairy will pay me a visit and as fast as I got them, they will go away....LOL right like that will happen...Fortunately though, I have a great husband who doesn't seem to be bothered by the hidious marks left and most of the time my clothes cover them so since he and I are the only ones affected and he seem oblivious to them I have lucked out.  May be worth a try though, I will definately look at the site so thanks!!!

You either got it or you don't

From what I have heard, you either get stretch marks or you don't - and however expensive the lotion or potion, it might not make a jot of difference. However, perhaps if you are one of the unlucky ones it is worth investing in something to help, or atleast make you think it might! But then again, why not save the cash and splurge on something to make you feel better?

Re: You either got it or you don't

I agree. Like mrslunar said, the propensity for stretch marks is genetics. There's not much you can do about it, but companies selling lotions and potions would like us to believe otherwise. If a woman uses something that works and then she never got stretch marks, it's kind of hard to make her believe that it's because of her genetics and not the lotion that spared her.

But I do agree with this though: there are lotions that can make the appearance of stretchmarks less harsh.

my doctor told me something similar, he said people with olive skin tend to get less stretch marks.

hrm

A propensity for stretch marks is largely genetic and there's not a lot we can do to change that. :)
