Swimming with Water Restrictions

gingermuggins by gingermuggins Talking(December 2006) (rank 263rd)

With water restrictions in place for a majority of Australian towns i have another water saving tip.

On a hot day when the kids are sweltering and want to wade in their pool i do a load of washing. I wash with a hair conditioner on these days as

this does not irritate the skin.

When it comes to the last rinse cycle i place the hose in the wading pool and the kids have cold water to splash around in.

Not only am i recycling water, my kids are cool and happy and i dont feel guilty for washing or for filling the pool!!! :)

saving water
Hi
Never thought of that.  We usually hook up a hose to the washing machine and water the fruit trees.    Cant let food die hehehehehhe
We are on level 5 water restrictions....
Wonder if I could throw the next load in with the kids and save electricity too
Luv Deb

saving water

All the washing water goes on the lawn or the garden here too.

As for getting the kids to wash the next lot of clothes, i just might test that out, lol, might stop them wearing soooo many clothes
