Getting rid of cradle cap. |

My beautiful boy has had a problem with cradle cap since he was born. At one stage it covered his whole scalp and his forehead. It really did look horrible so I set about using all the things that were told to me.
Now at eighteen months it was
not getting very much better. By nineteen months it was driving him crazy it had started to itch and he was starting to tear his scalp by scratching it. I was at a loss and going to take him to the doctor at this stage because the health nurse had no suggestions left other than to take him to the doctor.
I was talking to my grandmother on christmas day and she told me that she always used vaseline. So I went home shaved my boys head and applied the vaseline. I have been doing this for seven days now and it has almostcompletely gone.
I put it on before he goes to bed because other wise he wants to play with it, I wash it off the next day. The cradle cap goes very soft and I wipe a wet face washer over it to try and get some of the soft flaky stuff off.
Now the next bit is not very pleasant but it dosn't hurt and it will go away. A smeel seems to develop about the third or fourth day it is really not a pleasant smell but I believe for a few days the smell can be tolerated for the sake of getting rid of the cradle cap.
