New Year's Resolutions, Goals, Schmoals...whatever you call them... |

Here it is January 2, 2007, 2:20AM and frustration is pulsing havoc throughout my soul because the mind has decided I will not reach the goals I have set for myself for 2007. Why? Because it is after 2AM and I am not sound asleep...goal #1 was to be
in bed and asleep before midnight every night.
Rather than list each and every one of my lofty goals for 2007, I have chosen to post advice for those of you who are --like me-- breathing into a brown paper bag due to hyperventilation because of failure to achieve your goals on day 2 of 2007. Actually, I cannot take the credit but rather defer to Ralph Waldo Emerson...
"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. "
Ralph Waldo Emerson,
Now, let us bond together and support one another in the realization that not one of us can do it all. Breathe deeply, relax and let's do the best we can...period.
