The Party's Over !

LaRenae by LaRenae Young Parent(January 2007) (rank 39th)

After your holiday parties and gatherings are over it is very important to go back through your home and re-baby proof your house :

* Make sure you put outlet covers into the plugs where your decorations, holiday trees and etc. have been plugged into ... (shock hazard)

* Look for bits of tinsel, twigs and needles off of trees, decoration hooks and such that have fallen onto the floor ..... (choking hazard)

* Thoroughly search your guest rooms where your visitors have stayed ! Loose coins, sales tags off of new clothing, anything that may have been left from visitors ... (choking hazard)

* Thoroughly clean your restrooms from top to bottom after having many visitors ... (to prevent the spread of viruses and illness)

I so had been in the mind set of taking  care of baby's safety before and during the holiday season. And now I am realizing that there is also the "'after party" time to take notice of  ...........

I am currently sanitizing and re-baby proofing my home ..............

I gave some advice regarding this matter and would love for you all to add your additional advice regarding " The Party's Over "

Best of wishes and Pray your Holidays went well !

 Friendship and Love from Lisa

So important
It is important to do this frequently i think - because there are often other things that happen in our daily lives that we dont consider that slightly change the balance and things become more or less accessible, also as our babies grow into toddlers and then children they have differing safety needs and requirements.
Peace

cleaning after xmas

This is my first time ever having to do this. First year with an active baby (Jacob was only two months old last year and this year he is running around all over with hands into everything) , first year having a holiday party at my home and first year having out of towners stay for several days also. So, a lot of firsts ! Well, I will say some things I did find so far while going through packing up decorations and cleaning : a pointy thumb tack on the floor, coins, bits of paper, am still finding bits of food and bottle caps, and of course Jacob is still eating bits of tinsel !

We did thoroughly enjoy our hoidays this year ! Just wanted to let you know some things that are out of sorts in our home that I am getting straightened back out to keep my boy safe ....
