Water Safety

Tazzette by Tazzette Talking(January 2007) (rank 496th)

If you are thinking of taking your children swimming please WATCH THEM!!

i don't care how well they might be able to swim anything can happen.

This happened across the road from where I live last week.

A young boy aged around 15 saw something that looked

like a doll at the bottom of the pool. So being curious that he was he went down to retrieve it.

What he didn't realise until he had hold, was in-fact a baby girl aged 18 months. He brought her to the surface & she started breathing straight away.

While this was happening her mother was non the wiser it was only until her friend said "Isn't that your kid?" To which she ran over picked up her child thanked the boy never to be seen again.

I believe she has learnt her lesson & I hope it reaches just one of you out there.

PLEASE WATCH OUR CHILDREN SWIM

As  they say who's watching you?

WATER WISE
My brother could actually swim before he could walk.We had a pool and Mum was forever on the phone when I was at school  I taught him as I was always scared at school to what I would find when I went home. This I know doesn't give 100% guarantee but I believe all kids need to be taught to swim, and yes it did save my brothers life.I came home on quite a few occasions to find him swimming unattended. It is such a shame that these tragedy's have to happen to wake some of society up. Good point regards Merle

children and water

They can drown even on a cm of water. All they have to do is breathe the water in and chock on it. I'm always watching out for my daughter all the time.

Watching around water ALWAYS
Oh gosh, how lucky that the boy happened to see her!  It takes no time to watch your children closely around water, however if you don't, it is a lifetime of mourning : (

thanks for posting this up here,
i am forever keeping an eye on my child everytime i am at the local swimming pool and the beach, and always keep watch for any other children that may be in danger, only 3 years ago, my next door neighbour's 4 year old daughter drowned in their own little pool which was only a few centimeters deep, it doesn't matter how old your children are, and how well they can swim, always watch your kids.

xx channy

Thank god for that boy to pick her out of the pool and thankfully she was still alive.. I hope she has learnt her lesson and that it don't happen again!!

Great post!!
