Isnt it amazing how in tune with their surroundings children are.
I know there are alot of sceptics out there when it comes to death and the paranormal, but just once I would like for you to hear what I have to say with an open mind, and consider
every possibility you can think of. Even the insane.
When children talk about ghosts or their invisible friends, many parents and grandparents, and even friends of the family tell them to hush, and that they are speaking of nonsense. But lets look at this from a different angle. I know this is a very controversial topic, and Im expecting alot of negative feedback on this advice, but look at things for once, from a child's point of view.
Quite regularly, our house has a visit from someone un-dead. I dont know their name or why they're here, but I have no doubt that we have a visitor, and he isnt a happy chappy.
My kids have seen him, and have all, at the same split second, woken up screaming with pure terror, at the exact same time, all screaming, "Mummy theres a yucky man in my room". Do you have any idea how hard it is to get kids back to sleep in that room after one of these visits? Let me tell you now, its damn hard.
I was emailing a friend today, about the visit we had last night. I woke up to hear someone choking. I was in a deep sleep, and suddenly woke up, jumped up out of bed quicker than you can blink, and ran to check on my kids. Ive never ran so fast in my life. Turned out the kids were fine. All sound asleep as if nothing had happened. But I swear blind I know what I heard. Sceptics may argue that I dreamt it, but I swear on my kids, I didnt. My friend asked how kids are so in-tune with the supernatural, and here was my reply:
"society is what makes us who we are. society moulds the way you think and the way you act. children are often too young to mould, and so what you see is truth. if we saw something out of the norm, people would tell us that we imagined it and thats what we would believe. because society told us so. with kids they are such pure and innocent souls that they see exactly what we do, except society hasnt altered their minds. their minds are so young it stays real, whereas our minds are now set to default to tell us that what we see that isnt normal is just make believe."
So next time your litte one doesnt want to go to sleep because there is someone in their room, or when you hear them sitting by their selves, chatting away to an invisible friend, or even next time you see that shadow in the corner of your eye, stop and think about it for a moment. There may be such thing as ghosts after all.
