Declutter nutter....that's me
I only wish others wouldn't bring more and more stuff into the home... I am a rooster according to the chinese horoscope, and that means I am neat as a pin HA! Yeah right, it doesn't look it when you come into my place.... this house is too small, with too many people in it! I neeeeed a bigger house, then I have a place just for standard stuff that we still want/need to keep! I have already chucked out heaps, and it looks like I haven't hardly touched it. We have officially outgrown the house (is that possible??)

KEEP OUT OF MY HOUSE METRO

Oh my god, I feel so violated....I feel like you've been through my home with a fine tooth comb.....

Buuuut, you didn't see the old computers did you, or the old school books and broken printers and the good one which are too expensive to fil....Ahhhhhahahahahaha, you missed 'em....

Great article by the way......and I promise the next time you go through my home, I won't have these items anymore.......'cept for maybe the photos, cards, vcrs, jumpers with fuzz balls...*G*

Cheers

KEEP OUT OF MY HOUSE METRO
Lavinia,

I was trying so hard to be discreet--especially about the computer stuff.  Believe me, when I am at your home I am looking for fun, not clutter!  Your response made me howl with laughter.

Perhaps I will add computer-techy stuff and text books to my list.

Thanks a bunch for the smiles.

I am a hoarder that believes in freedom from Clutter
Hi
I recently read a book called freedom from clutter.....I am half way through it and have decluttered a lot of areas.......My hubby built a second garden shed for the clutter i cleared out of the house......
So I am slowly getting the clutter out of the house heheheheheh just found somewhere else to put it.......
Another problem i have with getting rid of clutter is that it leaves a empty space so when i go shopping I see something or lots of somethings that i think would look good in that empty space so suddenly when I turn around it has snuck back in again and I have to start all over again.
By the way i need another shed heheheheeh
Actually I have decided to take up scrap booking so have been collecting bits for this craft....wonder what date i will start using it........2035 maybe lol
Luv Deb

Freedom from Clutter
Is that book by Don Aslette?  He is an author that is always entertaining and engaging.
I'm not sure that he wants you to build another building to store your goodies but none-the-less, you are feeling better about your clutter and your "better half" is being kept busy.

Good start!
Thanks for your comments; I'm trying to visualize your storage shed and its contents.
Please send a photo if possible  so we can all join in your pain/joy.

Scrapbooking is fun but invites clutter

I'm guessing you are a very creative person.  And a sentimental one too.

A question you might ask yourself is, "is this  unloved, unfinished, unused or unresolved?:   If so, it may be clutter.
The other consideration is to remember that you are setting an example for your child (children).   But that is a whole different topic.

Your honesty is refresing and i like your post.; thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Dear Hoarder,

I love your candid response; thanks for your comments.

Being UNcluttered isn't for everyone--enjoying your surroundings is more important.
Cheers!

How about the other things on the list?  Trophies is a tough one for a lot of people.  Maybe we could start a clutter support group and post pictures of junk drawers, garages, attics, and basements.

What clutter do you cherish most?
