i know
i know how you feel there honey its like sophia and her blisters and josh and his surgerys especially when he had his fit and when sophia nearly died as a new born.. It hurts so bad when you cant help and you'd give your life to take their pain away, the best thing is your kids know just how much you love them and would do anything to protect them!

my little man
I had a similar experience with my now 13 year old.
He woke up one morning unable to get out of bed, he was 4 at the time, when I did get him up he couldn't walk. I took him to the doctor who quickly transferred him to hospital, turned out an infection had got into his body through a graze on his left knee, the infection had travelled around and settled onto his right hip and had developed into cellulitis. He was having regular bone scans and on the emergency surgery list so that if the infection got onto his bone they would have had to operate immediately. He was also on an IV drip. He was very poorly for about a week, very scary time, after the week in hospital he came home but couldn't properly walk for 3 weeks and stairs were an issue for about 6 weeks. I am happy to say he is now a regular, strong , normal, healthy, athletic, physical chap and he has had no re occurence at all of this.

Why is it always a VIRUS
Hi
Hugs to you and your family......
Why do they always think virus...and blame that on everything
So many kids are being wrongly medicated because of the word "virus"
It should be removed from the doctors language...
I was told I had a virus once...by my family GP .went to another doctor and he said glandular fever......funny looking virus.....he is now my new GP......Make them always look deeper....
Luv Deb

Thank you

For sharing your experience I think it is articles like this that help other parents to see the signs of problems that they may not already have thought of or even know of. Great work.
