Today I was tired and had no energy for the things we usually do so we did a 'quiet day' which went down really well! I thought I would share a few things we did as I know we all have days like this...
Magazine Pics
I
cut out lots of pictures from all different magazines. Cars, houses, people, food and the boys made a collage. They were entertained for a good hour doing this and we got some beautiful pictures out of it hehe kids are so imaginative!
Reading Together Time
Jaidan is at an age where he can go through the first words book and know what everything is. So he sat there with Chase for about half an hour and pointed out all the things saying "whats this?" and Chase would answer. If he got it wrong Jaidan would tell him No its ___. It was great bonding time for the boys and so cute watching them teach and learn together.
Glitter Picture
The boys got the glue and drew with it. Then picked different glittlers and sprinkled it on. Lift the paper up and you have a glitter picture. I think I have enough for a years worth of wrapping paper! LOL it was a BIG hit!
Treasure Hunt
I hid little bags of dried apricots and saltanas around the house. The boys looked for them for a good hour. They would find one and eat it then come to me and I would tell them where the next one was. Out of my hair and having a healthy snack hehe
Just some little ideas. We had a great day today!
