Bottle feeding while traveling

braith23 by braith23 Speaking(February 2007) (rank 318th)
well i have just come back from a 4 day trip to melbnourne. on the first day Braith was ok, he didnt have the amount of bottles as he usually would but i didnt take much notice until the next day he refused to have the second bottle at all. he
usually loved his bottles then i gave him some food and he was ok for a while then when i usually would have given him another bottle i tried but still he would not have it. this happened during the day he would have his first bottle and the night bottle but that was it...... But now that we are home it took him a day but he is now back to his normal self. So if you are going away be prepared if this happens with your child he/ she is just out of Rountine and this may be a way they go. most people that i spoke to said that they couldnt understand it because his bottle should have been his comforter but  he didnt do that and i got worried...... i was to the point that i was asking everyone for there advise but when i got back my mother in law saw what he was doing and she said that we may have to give away his day bottles but i wanted to see if he would take them and he did so he went back to normal he jus didnt know where he was and it took till we got home for him to be ok..... so if you have a child that goes off there bottle dont be so worried just look around and see if there is some thing that you have changed to see if that is the reason. coz the other thing that braith didnt have while we were away was his bouncer and that is what we usually give him his bottle in but we were using his pram. but that could have been the reason to we will never know as he cant tell us.

I'll keep this in mind
We are planning a family trip this month. Our plan is to stop for feeds when he is due for one whether our little one wants it or not. This is to try and keep his routine rather than him creating a new one. Most babies easily fall asleep in the car and will sleep as long as you let them so knowing this we are already planning our stops to fit his feeds.

being out of routine

Sometimes children do get out of routine while on holiday's etc. While we moved from Melbourne back to Adelaide while my daughter was 5 and a half months, i had set up a routine for her, and was working out well until we moved and got our own place, then i had to get another routine to suit both of us, and now i've had the same routine for a few years now, and it's great.
