C-section or natural

Tritch by Tritch Speaking(February 2007) (rank 227th)
hi everyone we just found out we are expecting again. Our daughter is now 9 months old and she was a c section bc she was a  footling breech. I am trying to decide if we should have a nother section or not with this preg. I am very much a wimp for pain so not sure if i could do it  naturally. i was hoping some people will share their stories weather they are postive or neg on both types of deliveries. Thank you in advance.. One thing i am scared about with a natural deliver is the use of a vacuum or forceps as i have heard a few horror stories on those.. any advice you can give him like i said neg or postitive would be great.. Thanks again...

With my daughter, i was going to have her naturally but she did a flip-flop the day i went into labor and she was breech too....so i had a c-section and i ended up with a hole in my lung due to a bad reaction to the anesthetic and was air-lifted to hospital 2 hours away and never got to see my baby for 5 days. Recently....i became pregnant and on my first ultra-sound they found i had no amniotic fluid (stuff that the baby swims around in during pregnancy) and that led to an MRI to check for abnormalities. And finally they found that my baby did not have a bladder, kidneys or stomach and we had to terminate the pregnancy at 19.3 weeks. (it was either that or carry the baby full term and then deal with the baby dying at the end of it all....which for me was not so easy). So, they had to trick my body into labor to get the baby out...and so my son was born breech on Jan. 28, 2007 and lived for 1 hour and 25 minutes. I had planned on having another c-section just because i had too many complications with my daughter.

Births
That is so sad about the loss of your baby.  This happened with a lady we are close friends with.  She decided even though the baby had no lungs to carry full-term knowing that the baby would die at the birth.  I thought it was very brave of her, and I don't know how I would cope with it all.  It must be the most difficult decisions for a mother to make.  My heart goes out to you and your family, and I can only hope to never be in that situation as I don't know what I would decide to do.  Thank you for sharing that with us, it's made an impact on my life particularly seeing someone else go through that.  It's not natural to plan a funeral for the baby growing inside you before it's even born.  My deepest sympathies.

c-sections
I had 4 c-sections 15 months apart, I advise you to be guided by your Dr thats their job, explain your fears and listen to their recommendations. My babies were all, thanks to c-sections, born healthy and live. They suffered no ill effects from this method of delivery. My oldest daughter is now 23 and expecting her first child, she miscarried early last year. She's worried about everything so I sent a copy of my history including Type 2 cervical cancer and hysterectomy when I was 26 with her to her Dr he has been wonderful with her and so far everything is on track for a natural delivery however she is also aware that things happen and she is confident that her Dr will make the right decision for her when the time comes.

c sections

i had a emergency ceasarean, as my girl was stressed. I didn't mind what way my daughter came into this world, as long as she was healthy. But i think it's up to the individual person what they want done and the circumstances at the time of delivery of baby
