I have decided to move overseas with my family but to save fights and arguments and lost belongings i have made lists of everything that is coming from photos computer games to kids toys down to the last sock what bag it's in and so forth also i have called
the quarentine dept of the country we are moving to and disscused the things we want to bring eg. my husbands lawn mowing equipment (he's a gardner)
we are sending things through freight so i have to have an itemised list for customs on the other side to avoid any problems. we also want to take our dog so have had to ask lots of questions about him being flown over what they do with him if anyone handels him out of the cage as he may be unsure of them. we have also made lists of things we can't take so will sell like fridge washer dryer home gym ect , that sort of thing and use the money saved from them to buy other ones. i have also had to find out things like my sons vaccinations are they different from the ones he had here like his menningoccocal is c here but b in nz.
what will the plane be like for my son will he cope what can i do to make it more comfortalbe for him and what will i do on the other side to help him adjust to a new time zone and different people things like that. so i recomend that you plan everything and prepare for the worst eg a hungry tired toddler and fogged in air port.
Passports for little ones get it organized early. what time is best to fly with a toddler ask other parents anything you can.
Things that may help are speaking to air lines asking questions to other parents quarentine and customs finding out how long things may take. who is going to pick you up from the air port drop you off ect. Remember it better to do things earlier than latter be prepared.
