Before our latest baby was born, hubby and I went shopping together for all his gear. Like most of you, we tried to buy all the latest gizzmo's to try to make our life easier.
This included one of those u-bewt nappy bins. At the time we
thought it was a great purchase as it would keep the stinky things from stinking without having to make the midnight run out to the wheelie bin. What we didnt realise was that the re-fill bags would cost us $40 a month!!
We were also given some of those nice scented nappy sacks which we used when we went out But what we have found works just as well and costs nearly nothing is .....................
FREEZER BAGS!! They cost about $1 for a pack of 80!
I now use these on a regular basis just for the stinky nappies and I rekon it has saved us $500 a yr! We still use the nappy bin but without the expensive liners. Truly there is no smell!! Chuck a few in your nappy bag aswell and there is no need for the nappy sacks either. I knew our mothers coped somehow before all this fancy pants stuff came out! I think its time we got back to basics and saved ourselves some money.
