A party bag is a thank you gift for all guests. I felt that is guests where spending time and money picking out a present for my son I should take time to make a thank you gift/party bag. Everyone love party bags and they are great at a first
brithday too. Its hard though to stick age appropriate items into the bag. If you are like me for my sons first birthday they children ranged in age from 3 months to 14 months. So putting something in the was ok for all ages was not easy.
It is hard when the party bag your child gets contains many items they can not have. Toys that are choking hazards and a bag full of lollies and choclate that you may not like them to have. Think about the age group when doing this. It can be done on a budget (i did each bag for about $3 each).
We put into our party bags:
- Teething rusks (pack of 2)
- Tin of baby choclate/or other variations custard (all babies love this) - this is how I got rid of custards in my cupboard my son did not like (egg custard ect)
- A lolly pop or other lolly that might be ok (one 1 or 2 of these should be ok - that the limit for my son on special occasions anyway)
- An age appropriate toy - I bought stacker boats for $3 for 4 and put 1 in each bag, this was ok for all ages
- Bubbles - fun fun fun
I am sure there is more that could be put in but those bags are only little. Hope this helps. What other items did you use.
