9 Things You Can Do For Free With Your Baby

pfallerj by pfallerj Proud Parent(February 2007) (rank 99th)
Today's first time parenting tip - Take advantage of the freebies you get when your baby is young

What's the best part about having a baby? Is it the unconditional love? The innocent laugh? The hugs?

Nope! It's all the freebies you get to take advantage of because
your baby is under 2. Kids only get more expensive with age, so cash in while you can. There are lots of fun activities, and practical ones, to do with your baby free of charge.
  • Fly on an airplane
  • Take the train or bus
  • Visit a theme park or water park
  • Go to the community pool
  • Stay at a hotel
  • Eat at some restaurants
  • Visit a museum or aquarium
  • Go to the Zoo
  • Go to a sporting event (and usually get some kind of swag)
What else do you know of that you can do for free if you're still in diapers?

Flying Aint Free
That is a shocker...making you pay 120 bucks for an eight week old.

You're very brave to be taking a baby that young on a plane...I hope he sleeps well!

My husband is desperate to take his new daughter home to meet his mum. He had our tickets booked months before Natalya was even born.

As for the bus...
Now as for the bus in Calgary, my daughter can get on it for free right up until she's 5-7 yrs old I think as long as there is a paying adult. Tomorrow I wanna go to the Zoo(if its nice out) because its Family Day here tomorrow and I think it'd be a great idea!!
I would defiently go on a plane ride but that is out the question because I don't have the money for that and for me to see my family would cost ALOT of money!! They are on the other side of Canada..
Great advice!

Flying ain't free
We are taking our baby to New Zealand soon, she is only 8 weeks old but we have had to pay nearly $120 for her ticket (it is 10% of the adult fare).

Flying ain't free

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.. Here in Canada you can fly for free with babies until they are 2 yrs old. Then obviously you have to pay a child fare for a plane ticket. But that is outragous for a damn 8 week old baby.. It ain't fair if you tell me..
