what a smell !!!!
my sons school has told all the parents to just use cheap conditioner and a lice comb.....it really does work.....

I hate the smell of oil on my hair and combined with vinegar... wow what a smell......... and i think my kids would too.....

But if it works then cool......But ill stick to good old fashioned conditioner ....and  tea tree oil to deter......

Better than tea tree...
A good mint based shampoo is a good preventative with daily use. Preferably rose mary mint. Tea tree is a mint substitute. Mint is actually a non toxic pesticide and if it comes in contact with the bug can kill an adult louse. In addition, the smell is offensive to the bug so they are less likely to cross to your child's head.

Add a link
There are several articles written along similar lines, it seems that there are various different things that work, if you do a search and add a few links for related topics (namely headlice treatments) you will make the search process easier for those looking for this information.

Hi! I shall test out your vinegar/cooking oil recipe on my daughter's hair tomorrow night.I have a ryobi electronic comb ,but a natural method sounds like a great idea!
