PMA

Well another drug in the series of illegal drugs and teens I would like to write about is PMA. its chemical name is paramethoxyamphetamine. PMA is a synthetic hallucinogen... The street names for this drug are Mitsubishi double stack, Death and it is often sold as ecstasy...

PMA is sold in a capsule or tablet form and very occasionally it is in a powder form...It has the appearance of an ecstasy tablet and is sometimes sold as this and this is the HUGE danger with these tablets...There are alot of deaths with PMA because teens think they are taking a party drug and thats not what they are getting....This is one dangerous drug out there...Sometimes if it is in powder form PMA will be taken by inhaling or even injected...

One pill of PMA causes pretty much immediate effects similar to ecstasy...With one dose there will be increased breathing...Raised body temperature, pulse rate and blood pressure...PMA also causes erratic eye movements along with muscle spasms feeling sick and heightened visual stimulation...

More than one pill can cause very different affects on the body...More than one pill is considered by users as lethal as it can cause Irregular heart rate and heart attack...There is also breathing problems and/or pulmonary congestion...Other side effects are kidney failure, vomiting, convulsions, coma and or death...

There has nto been enough research on this drug to be able to tell the long term effects of it...I think the short term effects are scary enough...

PMA has recieved alot of media attention of late due to the rising death rate from the use of this...Kids are mistaking it for ecstasy and using more than one pill I have linked some things on deaths from this drug to the bottom of this article...

As I have said before and I will say it again communication is the key and as the wise Nell18 has quoted before on my articles(thanks helen) Knowledge is Power...Lets give our kids the knowledge on this drug so they can have the power to say NO..
