Capturing Family Life in Photographs- Idea #1

tracey by tracey Young Parent(March 2007) (rank 4th)

Part of a series of ideas to help any parent take endearing and meaningful pictures of their kids.

Idea #1- Playing Favorites

Many children have a one of a kind favorite thing. It could be a blanket, or bunny, a bear or a binkie. This objects

of affection become a part of our daily lives yet we often forget that these raggedy things are indeed photo worthy. Capturing your child’s favorite thing is a must for the family photo album. If the object is something like a stuffed animal, you can even suggest your child take a photo of it to give their own perspective through a photo. Because these objects are loved like no other, and usually held close, photo opportunities present themselves everyday. When the moment is right, try snapping some shots of your child snuggled up with their blankie and see what magic unfolds.

Another cute idea...
This one is really good for your kids too - when they are older and look back at the photos, they will feel emotion when they see an old beloved toy or article.
