make their day,

iancherine by iancherine Talking(March 2007) (rank 500+)

Far from being red hot advice, this is something i like to do for our kids;

every couple of months from the start of their school life i have put a little note in the bottom of the lunch box with "hope you are having a good day"

or " hey, guess what?... " and on the back of that one i would continue with " your dad is thinking of you" or something like that. each time i do it the child involved will come home from school and say thanks for the note dad, or whatever. this costs me nothing but the result is priceless, my 13 yo daughter likes it the best, and now, every now and then i find little notes from her! and one time i was packing up some old clothes in her room and i found all the notes i had written in the bottom of the drawer!! i never expected her to keep them, it made MY day then! there you go, that's Ian's gem of advice!!!!

that is so cute
what a great thing to do that your kids are gonna remember for the rest of their lives,
i think its a sweet little gesture, and seeing that they keep the notes shows how much they love you in return

xx channy

Little things

It is the little things that show people they are loved and cared for. i will keep this in mind when my boys are at school.

Thanks

Little things
I started doing this when E started taking a school lunch on her full days at pre-school.  When she gets home she always unpacks it and finds it and reads it to me.  Obviously her teachers have read it to her.  Currently they are simple things and pictures so she can almost read them herself really.

 And as I write this I realise that for the first time I have forgotten to include one.  I shall find a way to work one into her evening meal instead.  Maybe use some rice paper and my decorating food pens.

Peace
EF.x
