Easter Activities

Anonymous Author (March 2007)
Make easter for fun this year by being creative and try these activitywith your children.

Hunt the Easter Bunny.

Childhood is so short  but so very precious.Your children will love hunting for easter bunny on Easter morning.

This activity is suitable for 2 years

What you need.

.A small basket of Easter Basket of Easter Eggs

. Flour.

What to do.

Wake up very early before the children and using the knuckles of your index and middle fingers, dip them in some flour and make "bunny footprints' through the house and out in the garden. Give them quite a trail to follow and at the end-wow then they find the great basket of eggs.

This activity is suitable for 6

What you need to do this:

.Some paper
. a pen
.easter eggs.

Now what you need to do is start at the bottom of their bed where they leave their basket to collect their eggs or wherever Easter Bunny leaves the eggs at you place. And be creative as you can in thinking of clues such as:-

.Look in the place where the dirty socks are placed   - as some children will use the washing basket.
.Under the tree where the fruit grows
hide them where the children''s play equipment is in the backyard.

.Make the clues simple enough for emergent readers to sound out,or use words they already know.

Eventually they will find the treasure trove of eggs, and hopefully they will have used some of their energy and practised their reading on the way. This  activity is suitable for ages 6

So have fun this easter and have your children enjoy these great activities...

Easter Foot tracks

This reminds me of when my daughter was two and I made bunny tracks through the house with talcum powder, she woke up in the morning, looked around and said, "Mum! Who made all this bloody mess? There's powder everywhere?" I was so disapointed!!!! As for her saying 'bloody' well... we all know what I used to say when I found her messes. I stopped that one.

Easter fun

Well done . . .  I love playing Easter games with my kids but sadly I won't get to do it this years and they both say they are too old and don't believe . . . :(

Sadly the baby is too young . .  But i'm still gunna arrange something out of the ordinary to happen.

Cheers Kellz

Easter fun
Sounds like great fun Kellz.  I love having fun on these occasions too and will keep the fun coming as long as i can!!!  I hope you all have fun with whatever you decide to do.  Apparently we have a treasure hunt around the garden for our names this year.  My mum has organised it since we will be with her.
Peace

Re: Easter fun

Sumara is old enough to play some of the games now, and if she cant she could always squal (SP) her way to them , and make everyone get out of her way hehe..

Hope your family has a happy easter this year..
