You can get things accomplished with baby!!!

I don't know about everyone else, but sometimes household chores and cooking dinner and paying the bills seem like a task better left for when our babies are asleep at night. But the only problem with that is then we hardly have time for ourselves. Here are a few tips I
have picked up.....

1. If you have a baby who is young enough to be in a swing, bouncy seat, or jumparoo, put them in it a few times a day. Not for long, in 15 minutes you can get a bathroom clean, sweep, or vacuum.
2. Divide up the chores. Get your signifigant other to help. Take a day to clean your kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. That way it isn't so overwhelming. Do a little at a time.
3. If your child is too big for any of the above "entertainers" I call them, put them in a playpen. It is good to do this anyways so they get used to being in one. I'm not talking all day, just for 15-20 minutes so you can do the dishes or get dressed.
4. If your child is screaming and you have a task that can't wait, just calmly tell them, mommy/daddy loves you, I have to finish this, and then I will pick you up. It won't hurt them to wait a few minutes.
5. Try to keep up with things, such as picking up their toys, so you aren't doing things twice.
6. Try to get your child to "help". If you are paying bills, let them throw away the trash. If you are sweeping or mopping, let them have their own little "chore", it gets them in the habit of helping you and they feel important.
7. Try to do things during their naps.
8. When all else fails, let things go. I don't mean live in a dirty house, but stop being a perfectionist and realize sometimes our children are not going to coorperate, try to do your chores another day.

Great Suggestions
I am terrible at doing anything when my child is awake!  I am starting though, to do more and use my baby jail and just let him cry if I need to get work done!
