Part of a series of ideas to help any parent take endearing and meaningful pictures of their kids.
Idea #8- Get Silly with It
Sometimes kids get tired of having their picture taken. It’s understandable. It can be exhausting, not to mention
boring when you’re being ordered around and asked to smile time and time again.
One easy way to lighten the mood is to allow for “silly photos”. I usually will promise a silly photo at the end of the shoot as to help persuade the kids to smile nicely, at least for a few shots. And then, I keep to my promise and let them do what ever they want for at least one more.
There are no rules for silly photos. Anything goes. Funny faces, pouty lips, a scowl, tongue out, eye’s crossed, whatever. Just let them be crazy! And don’t just let the kids have all the fun. Feel free to act crazy yourself once in a while. Our silly family photos are some of my favorites!
