Cradle Cap

Marlena by Marlena Young Parent(April 2007) (rank 13th)
I had a Q&A about my son and cradle cap and i got some really great advice from other Minti Members.  What I find works for my son is to not use any products in his hair like Gel or leave in conditioner or detanglers.  I
have purchased a anti-residue shampoo and it is helping a lot.  I have a special boar brush and when I apply the shampoo I massage his scalp with the brush.  When I rinse I use fresh water not bath water because There is soap and sometimes bubble bath also.  I didn't think about this before and it helps to use fresh water.

Re: Cradle Cap

All my son's have had it and i found softening it with shampooing or just washing and then combing it out with a fine tooth comb - i've actually used a nit comb.  This seemed to work the best for me rather than oil which is a common way of removing it.

Cheers Julie
