Having fun tidying up

Hello there, Before I start I would like to say that I read a few weeks ago about a subject that a parent wrote about the above. I cannot find it although I have looked through. To this parent I would please like to apologise to you because it is what you wrote that has made it possible for me to contribute to it. My kids and I love tidying up as we all do it together as a game and by the time they realize it we have finished clearing all the toys and stuff. To parents who are like me and cannot stand it when anything is out of place I do hope this will help you. You can create your own games so that although your kids help to tidy up you still have lots of fun together. Let me give a practical example. Sometimes our tidying up becomes hide and seek. I will go and hide and tell my boys to put their toys back while I do so. Whoever finishes first will come and look for mum. When he finds mum we will both wait until his sibling also finds us and then we will all have a big hug together and I get tickled all over. It is such fun.
