Admin Functions...I'm not Admin...What are these for?

I have written an article here about The shields we recieve on Minti for our participation...In this article I mentioned about admin functions that appear with the fifth shield...Like many I am sure you get up one day and realise you have changed shield and all of a sudden there is this thing on the bottom of your orange box to the left hand side on your homepage saying Admin functions...

When I got mine I emailed Matthew and said "Ummm am I supposed to have these?...I'm not admin" LOL... He then explained it to me in a way similar to this...

You have been on Minti for awhile and therefore Admin would like you to be included in some of the reported items to help with the smooth running of Minti...

When you get the admin Functions you will have them at the bottom of the orange box on your home page...There will be four of them...

Reported advice...This is what I call the vault..Some call the dungeon I have evn heard it called Jail hehe ...But when advice is written the system picks up certain words that might be found offensive or can be used differently than you have used it...Or a memebr may have reported it as it is copywrite or copied from another website without permission...

Reported comments...This is when a comment made on Minti is not suitable and is reported or a member may have even doubled up or wish their comment to be removed...

Reported images...This is pretty self explainitory...If the picture is not suitable for a parenting site it will go here...Some people wish to clean out their pictures so they also report their own...

Reported members...This is for members that are in breach of the Minti code of honour and TOS...That could be either for spamming..or inappropriate conduct on the minti site...

When there is something to be looked at and voted on there will be a number next to the reported thing be it a picture, comment, advice or member...You can just click that and go to where you can vote and have the opportunity to comment too...

At this time I would like to tell people that there is more than one vote needed for any of these reported things to be resolved...Your vote is just your way of saying if you agree or not...Your vote alone doesn't  wipe the reported item...

I thought I would write this to share this to help people understand when this does happen to you...So hopefully you will know what it is and what its is for...Only people with admin functions can access this area...

So keep participating and keep enjoying and in no time you will see those extra items appear on your orange box...along with a new shield...I Hope this has helped some to understand another little thing on Minti....
