Here's my contribution to the series.
I'm really fortunate to live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Noosa has everything from 5 star hotels and goregous boutiques to a caravan park with one of the best views of Noosa River and family friendly restaurants. Here's some of the

things that you can do in and around Noosa.
- Hastings Steet: This is the place to see and be seen!!!! Well that's what I've been told lol!!. There are loads of cafe's, restaurants ranging from good ol fashioned tucker at the Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club right through to your gourment feasts at Berarado's. I can guarantee you'll find something to satisfy your tastebuds! There is shopping, more shopping and you guessed it, more shopping!!!. The great thing about Hastings street is not only does it have everything you're looking for when it comes to shopping, on the other side is Noosa's famous Main beach (Laguna Bay). Located at the end of Hastings Street is Noosa Woods. A great place to take a picnic with family and just relax/ There are lots of friendly locals at the woods including Kangaroo's and Koala's.
- Main Beach: More than just a beach...... you can go parasailing, dolphin watching, snorkelling off first point, learn to surf or surf dance or just laze on the sand. It's a beautiful bay and really popular with the families. If your lucky enough to be staying on Hasting's street, it's quite a view to wake up to!!!
- Noosa National Park: Located at the top of Hastings street, Noosa National Park boasts some of the best ocean views, hidden bays and some really challenging walks. It's also where you'll find Alexandria Bay. Famous for two things, the only legally nude beach on the coast and the host of the Nude Olympics!!!! The National Park is a great FREE activity for the family.
- Noosaville: A short 5 minute drive from Noosa Heads you'll come across Noosville. Here you'll find Gympie Tce, a very family friendly place with more restaurants and shops all on the Noosa River. The river is a favourite with locals and tourists a like. It's gentle and warm water is great for the little one's to have a splash in, jump on the ferry and tour around the canal's, hire a boat for the day, loads of free bbq's to cook up a feast, some of the best fish and chips (really, they are lol) and a great place to sit back with family and relax.
- Eumundi Markets: Eumundi is a great little town about 15 minutes inland from Noosa. Here you'll find loads of locally made stuff like art, organically grown food, clothing, furntiure and so on. Eumundi Markets are world renown and believe me get there early!!!!! The markets have everything from furniture, jewellery and pottery to local foods, wines etc. I don't think I've ever seen someone leave the markets empty handed!!!! They are open Wednesday and Saturday with the Eumundi Square open on Sunday's as well.
This is only a small selection of things to do in and around Noosa. Where I live is the gateway to Fraser Island, the everglades and so much more. If you love the beach, shopping, eating, touring around and just relaxing, than take a trip up this way. It's about an easy hour and half drive from Brisbane so go on the next time your planning a trip up north, put Noosa on your list. You'll be surprised at what you'll find!!!!!!
More next time!
Thanks,
Fiona xoxo
