Re: HELP!!! My 20 month old is biting-What can I do????
Asked by denaastin
Question:
My 20 month old daughter is biting me and other children and I don't know what to do. I have tried biting her back just enough to show her
how it feels (not enough to consider it abuse) and that still hasn't worked. I don't want to keep biting her b/c then she may think it is ok to continue biting. And time out doesn't work either. I need a knew way to handle this. PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
My Advice:
Hi, I had 2yo twin girls who used to bite each other and other children to the extend that teeth marks were present & drew blood. My advice which I was told by my health nurse was to bite them back with a bit of firmness or just enough for it to hurt . . . it actually worked. I only needed to do it once or twice but never again- good luck
