Baby and Child Massage

thehardyards by thehardyards Talking(June 2007) (rank 333rd)
I love teaching baby and child massage classes. Seeing babies come into the class all stiff, and arching their backs. Then watching them leave, usually asleep with the most content look on their little faces.

I find that massage is especially beneficial for preschool and school aged children to
help reduce and alleviate stress and fear. Using music and calm speech , you can significantly enhance the massage experience for your child.

Baby and Child Massage facts

Always ask permission, or tell the baby or child that you are about to touch them (no matter how old they are)
Seek education from a qualified practitioner
Ensure that your child is not hungry, too full or overtired prior to the massage
Get into a routine and massage the baby or child just before sleep time, or during tummy time

I have been massaging my own children for years, and it is such a special one on one time that you rarely get. Enjoy it!
