Helpful/Natural ways on bringing on labour

tassiebiarch by tassiebiarch Talking(June 2007) (rank 500+)
I thought that i would find some good advice, safe advice on bringing on labour

There were many detailed ways on bringing on labour expecially about sex but i will all let you guys use your imagination on what to do.

The Best one which i highly reccomend as i used it is nipple stimulation It Works for some women they reckon that 37.3% of women have tried and went into labour within 72 hours so girls if you are desperate then try it can't harm.

The next is the good old olive oil,has worked for some ,and made some very ill its not really reccomended but 57.7% began active labour after a single dose of 60ml yuk i was to scared to try

Then which i have never heard of is pineapple(fresh pineapple) it contains a enzyme which softens the cervix if anyone trys this one please let us all no

Then there was red raspberry leaf - don't use this product until the last 3 mths of your pregnancy as it stimulates the uterus. raspberry leaf is great for the second stage of labour.

Then walking well i no for sure that this works i had a mild pain got up went for a walk and 4 hours later i had a boy it was bought on by me getting of my back side and walking apparently.

Well i hope this has helped you all and one of these ideas help you i am still shocked over pineapple i am very curious about it

Re: Helpful/Natural ways on bringing on labour
I ate pineapple heaps with my last, especially in last trimester and she was still overdue!  The walking certainly helps and also helps through out labour too.  Did with all mine.  Longer I was on my feet and moving, the quicker and less painful the labour.  We tried the sex to no end.  Put a smile on his face at least!  This works because the cervix are allergic to the proteins in semen during the last few months.  Got that from plenty of different drs and others!  They say a gentle ride on a horse (a quite pony where your feet are almost on the ground) but not recommended because of the risk of falling.  This works by loosening the pelvic muscles and shifting bubs further down.  Not tried this.  Horse took off as soon as he saw me!

Dare I ask where the pineapple goes??? Just jokes, very interesting advice, I hadn't heard about the pineapple before.  I have heard of the nipple stimulation, and I must say - Stephen was very eager to try it, however we didn't need to, Jaydee popped out earlier than expected.  Maybe next time we will need to try some of these...
