I really felt for you and your family having to go through that horrible trauma with the doctors and hospital. My boy was suffering from middle ear infections for the first three years of his life, along with bronchitis, croup and asthma. Then I discovered Astragalus, (the root not the leaf)
in liquid form. It's known as Astragalus 3000 by Herbs of Gold. The herb is similar to Echinacea except that you can't take Astragalus if there is a fever present, as it is a heating agent. Very good for people recovering from Cancer treatment or physically stressed. This herb is the most wonderful thing I have ever discovered for my boy. It is an antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial. Viruses are repelled when Astragalus is present in the body. It boosts the production of macrophages and phagocytes, the components of the immune system that fight bacteria and viruses. Jacob has been taking it for 7 years now and has not had one single ear infection, asthma attack, croup or bout of bronchitis since. Just a couple of 3 day colds without the dramatics. It's been a Godsend for us. In conjunction, we use 5000mg vitamin C taken in divided doses, along with 400 IU of vitamin E plus 500 milligrams of bioflavanoids daily which both help the body to absorb the C. The Vitamin C should be in the form of Calcium Ascorbate, not Ascorbic Acid, or it will upset the tummy and cause the runs. Vitamin C helps stop free radicals which occur when the body is fighting an infection. Free radicals damage cells and make them prone to bacterial invasion. In other words, Vitamin C stops cells from mutating. I highly recommend trying this combination for your boy to build up his immune system. If you suspect a cold or anything that even resembles one, coming on, then double dose him with Echinacea immediately the first time, then 3 times a day for 3 days. It will knock it out before it has a chance to get a grip on him. I really hope your boy does well in the future.
Kind regards,
