Diarrhea is the runs..

aklei090 by aklei090 Walking(July 2006) (rank 500+)

what should i do? its only been a couple of hours could it be something i fed her?

I wouldn't be too concerned as long as she is acting normally and she does not have a fever or vomiting. Certain foods that I know of that can lead

to diarrhea are:

* Watermelon

*citrusy fruit like oranges

*Apple Juice or other acidic juices

*Cheese (lactose intolerance)

*Grapes

The list is mostly fruit never the less.

Other viruses I know of are:

*Rotavirus (accompanied by a fever and vomiting)

*RSV (fever of104, coughing, chest wheeze, lethargic)

It also could very well be nothing. Like adults, children can get diarrhea for the heck of it. The main thing is to keep her from being dehydrated. Pick up some pedialyte or my paeditrician suggested Gatorade or Powerade because it has the same make up as Pedialyte and it is less expensive. If you are still concerned or it is accompanied by other symptoms such as fever, vomiting and lethargy, contact your doctor immediately.
