Have A perfect Gift on hand for every occasion!
After reading a couple of comments from (Ngairi & Kayla, thanks ladies), in my countdown to xmas....jogged to old memory of what i used to do, to have gifts on hand for all occasions. bringing up a young family
i never had mega dollars$$$$$, to spare up front ,for gifts.
So every week while doing my shopping i would throw in one extra item.... at home i had a big cardboard box, which i stored the items in. Over a period of a year, i would have 52 items, to which i could make up many gift hampers. I use to buy cane baskets, put a few items in and then wrap it, in cellophane ,with a ribbon. My aim was for birthdays and christmas gifts, ( especially for families, which meant i didn't have buy individual gifts) But you could use these hampers, for many occasion's.
e.g. Birthdays Congratulations
House- Warming Welcome Back
Christmas Thank-you
A Birth of a New Born Thinking of you
Visiting Gift Easter
And many more events.
Items you could buy
e.g. tins of....salmon, tuna, pate,sardines....etc! Jars of......pickles,,,, onions... jam.... honey,,,, fruit....etc!..... mixed peanuts.... crackers... biscuits....A bottle of wine.....or champange.... a six pack of beer....... a pack of babies bib's..... babies biscuits.... baby lotion.... baby shampoo.... Shampoo.... Hair Conditioner...deodorant....shave cream... packs of soaps..... a Dummy.... Babies bottle.... a soft Babies toy.... paper towels.... toilet paper.... baby wipes.... pine-o-clean....dish washing liquid..... washing powder... sweet or lollies & bars of chocolate ( these items i would leave till the last few weeks)
The list could go on & on, i'm sure many members out there have their own ideas. I suggest using a laundry basket ( $1.75 from the reject shop) for bulky items. For smaller hampers, the beautiful coloured boxes, ranging from $2 to $5.
With abit of imagination, you can make up so wonderful gift hampers!
