Scams: home phone, mobile, internet or mail |
|
|
This is just a little follow up to a previous entry I have made about a "anti-virus" scam.
I have located a couple of good aussie websites that have information about current scams operating via means of home phone, mobiles, internet/email and mail. They give information about the
scam, name it, how to protect yourself from them and also how you can report them. The later part I think is really important.
One site is a government site set up by ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) and the other is a student services page from the University of New Emgland in NSW.
So Here goes: (the links will take you straight to the appropriate page)
http://www.fido.gov.au/fido/fido.nsf/byheadline/Scams+-+types+of+scams?openDocument#
http://www.une.edu.au/it-services/students/software/virusprotection/index.php
I know these sre only a couple and if anyone has any others to add, let me know and I will put them on here.
